Keep Your Life Moving.

Life keeps moving moment-to-moment, and we somehow make everything work as we go. When it comes to an accident or unexpected illness, life is suddenly interrupted. Most of us think we’ll be able to return to work and our normal life in a few days. But in reality, your recovery and absence from work could last months. Would you be able to maintain your standard of living if you couldn’t work for that long?

Protecting yourself can be easy through the NJCPA Member Insurance Program. Disability Income Insurance can help you meet your financial obligations like mortgage payments, student loan debt, retirement savings, college education funds, and general monthly living expenses. And your benefits are always paid regardless of other coverage you may have.

When and where am I covered?

With Disability Income Insurance, you have coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week for disabilities resulting from sickness or job-related or recreational activities.

Is this coverage renewable?

Yes, once coverage is effective, your coverage automatically renews by paying the renewal premium applicable for your particular age. The coverage will only end if you do not pay the premium when due, reach age 70, you begin active military service, or elect to end your coverage.

How long do I have to wait before benefits begin?

The choice is yours. You may choose a waiting period of 30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days. The Waiting Period is the number of consecutive days you must be totally disabled by a covered illness or accident before benefit payments begin. There are lower premiums for choosing waiting periods longer than 30 days. See the plan brochure under the Learn More section for additional information.
